Haryana Civil Service Exam On September 12

 Adequate measures have been taken to ensure a smooth and fair conduct of the Haryana Civil Services and allied examinations scheduled for September 12, Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan said on Thursday. A total of 1,48,242 candidates will appear for this examination at 538 centres in 13 districts across the state. Mr Vardhan held a meeting with deputy commissioners during the day on the examination, an official statement said. He directed the deputy commissioners to appoint magistrates or executive magistrates in their districts for smooth conduct of the exams. Despite concerns about increasing COVID-19 cases, the Kerala government is mulling to reopen schools as it has decided to set up an expert panel to study the present circumstances in the state and submit a report in this regard. General Education Minister V Sivankutty said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the high-level committee monitoring the COVID situation and guiding actions to deal with the disease in the state would take a final decision on the school reopening. "The Education Department is contemplating to set up a suitable expert panel to submit a report to know whether the circumstances in the state are all right to reopen the schools," he told reporters here.  The children of migrants and refugees from Myanmar will be enrolled in schools in Mizoram on humanitarian grounds, sources in the state government have said. Thousands had fled Myanmar after a military coup and many are living in refugee camps in Mizoram. A circular from the Mizoram Directorate of School Education to all district education officers and sub divisional educational officers on Tuesday asked them to ensure children of the refugees are enrolled in schools. "...Admission to migrant/refugee children... continue their schooling," the circular signed by head of Directorate of School Education, James Lalrinchhana, reads. The decision was taken under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.
